Pray as if you have already received your answered prayer
During this video, Gregg Braden related an experience he shared with his Native American friend David. David invited Gregg to accompany him to his family’s sacred ancestral place to pray for rain. At this time, New Mexico was experiencing a terrible drought. Gregg thought he would see native dancing, possibly chanting to bring the rain. But, that wasn’t the case at all.
David began his prayer first by closing his eyes followed by creating a prayer mudra in front of him briefly and that was it. Gregg was astonished and questioned David, “I thought you were going to pray for rain?” David said, the key to manifesting your prayers, “is to pray correctly”. Furthermore, David said he prayed for rain as if I’ve already received the rain.
The typical way we were taught to pray is to bow our head, close our eyes and ask God for the things we need. This, according to David, communicates to the Universe that since we don’t have it in the quantum field, we cannot have it in “reality”. Consequently, to counter this David stated he visualized himself standing in his village. He then brings forth memories of how he enjoyed the rain, how the rain feels on his skin; the mud on his feet and the smell of the earth as the raindrops fell. David ends his prayer with giving thanks to the Universe for answering his prayer.
For me, I remember as a kid running through the summer rain with bare feet. We would jump in the puddles and splash each other. The warm and gentle raindrops that fell on our faces delighted us. Therefore, when you are praying, allow the emotions to come to the surface of your being. What would it be like to receive your answered prayer. Focus on those emotions and most certainly thank the Universe for your answered prayer.
